My name is Emma Wilson, I’m 18 years old. I work as a full time apprentice electrician. I live on the West Coast of the South Island. From a very young age my parents had me out doing heaps of cool things like mouthing biking, snow skiing, motor biking and so much more, I then developed a passion for the outdoors, adventures and keeping fit.
I love wearing merino because its 100% natural and it helps regulate my body temperature when I’m training. Merino is also awesome because its odour resistant so when I'm out and about I don't stink! True Fleece is also super soft and so comfy to wear. I particularly love True Fleece because it is all New Zealand made from sustainable sources. Not only is it great to wear while training but it also allows me to train in style. True Fleece keeps me warm, dry and smelling fresh!
From a very young age I wanted to one day race in the Coast to Coast, so at 16 I decided to give it a go. I have now competed twice in the two day individual coast to coast. I won the school girl category and then this year I achieved my goal of being the first overall woman. I am lining up to do the longest day and many more races.
